The Manor Venture has recently completed its first contract for Siemens Gamesa, supporting the construction of the Galloper wind farm off England’s east coast.
Based out of Lowestoft in Suffolk, over a 12-month period, the Manor Venture delivered over 450,000 litres of fuel to the 56 generators (also supplied by Manor Renewable Energy) that were installed on the turbines during the construction phase of the wind farm.
Often remaining in the field for up to 5 days at a time, the Venture completed over 5000 personnel transfers without incident and maintained a 99% serviceability record for the MRE generators, during the 355 days worked on the project.
The Manor Venture also successfully supported the installation and removal of the generator sets involving numerous crew and equipment transfers outside of its primary work scope.
MRE’s flagship vessel has now undergone a short refit period to enhance vessel performance. This was completed in less than a week at MRE’s yard in Portland, Dorset and the vessel is back in the water and currently available for Charter.
